Israel freezes over 100 Binance accounts with alleged link to Palestinian terrorist group Hamas

Israeli law enforcement have frozen more than 100 accounts on the world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance since the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas.

The Financial Times report has it that Israel is trying to curtail the Palestinian militant group’s funding.

The report added that Israeli authorities are looking into additional 200 crypto accounts, most of which are held on Binance.

Since Hamas attacked Israel 10 days ago, Israeli law enforcement has been working with the public and crypto firms to block fund flows to the group.

The report by the Financial Times also has it that Binance is going back to find all the Binance customers that have had exposure to” each address Hamas publishes soliciting donations.

On Monday, Pageone.ng reported that stablecoin issuer Tether had frozen funds in 32 cryptocurrency addresses linked to terrorism and warfare in Israel and Ukraine.
