Faceless fake news scammers have just artificially propped up the price of Bitcoin SV.
How was this possible? Well, it was incredibly shameful to say the least.
They simply mimicked Coinbull, China’s largest cryptocurrency new site and claiming that Craig Wright, the man who claimed he was the Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonym for the Bitcoin originator. They simply lied that he has moved some of the Bitcoin in the first address created ‘Satoshi wallet’.
“CSW transferred 50k BTC from the biggest BTC wallet to Binance, which confirmed he is the real Satoshi. As such CZ will re-list BSV and make an official apology on Twitter,” says the scam message.
The shockwave the fake news item pushed up the price of Bitcoin SV, the altcoins forked by Craig Wright in September last year, went up by an added average of $60.
The price of the crypto went as high as $190 per BSV.
Coinbull spoke out that:
“Coinbull announcement: regarding the recent malicious photoshopped image to impersonate Coinbull to spread rumors.
Recently, we have received feedback from users that certain people had maliciously sent out photoshopped Coinbull news alert to spread rumors about Binance and CSW which had bad consequences. We remind our users again not to trust any rumors and not to spread any rumors. Thank you for your support.” the website said.
Craig Wright had filled a copyright filing for the original Bitcoin white paper.
