Azeez Lawal is an Executive Officer with years of experience rotating through multiple roles within the finance function—controlling, treasury, audit, financial planning and analysis with an established track record in financial management, treasury management, financial operations and reporting, statutory audit management and taxation. He is also heavily engaged in business operations and strategy.
His qualifications are based on a unique combination of education, skill and work experiences. He obtained his first degree from Delta State University where he graduated as the best student in the Accounting and Finance Department. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He obtained his first core accounting skills qualification in 2003 as an Associate Accounting Technician (AAT). He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holds an ACCA Diploma in IFRS (DipIFR).
Azeez Lawal Joined Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited as an assistant officer and rose to the position of a Chief Financial Officer in 3 years, offering support to several units and departments including Wealth Management and Corporate Finance. The dynamism in his personality and experience is from his intricate working knowledge of the Company and industry. With proven expertise in reconciliations and balance sheet management, Azeez has played leading roles in statutory audits of the Company. He was part of the team that prepared the first IFRS Accounts of the Company. He is presently the Head of Corporate Finance.
