A report by German news outlet Handelsblatt has it that Liechtenstein is planning to add bitcoin (BTC) as a payment option for government services.
Handelsblatt quoted Liechtenstein’s prime minister Daniel Risch to have said that any crypto received as payment will likely be immediately exchanged for Swiss francs, the country’s national currency.
Risch did not specify a timeline for adding the payment option, according to the report.
Risch, according to the report, admits that crypto is too volatile to entrust portions of the country’s annual savings but thinks "this assessment can change."
