Crypto exchange Bitrue suffers a $23 million exploit

Singapore-based crypto exchange Bitrue has been exploited for roughly $23 million in tokens.

Bitrue confirmed on Twitter that one of its hot wallets suffered a brief exploit.

The exchange explained that attackers were able to withdraw assets in ether, shiba inu, QNT, GALA, HOT, and MATIC.

The exploited wallet holds only less than 5% of Bitrue’s overall funds.

Bitrue temporarily suspended all withdrawals and plans to reopen them on April 18.
