Crypto exchange Binance has temporarily halted spot trading due to an issue on its platform.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said in a follow-up tweet that the issue is expected to be resolved in the coming hours and that the trading pause was a safety measure.
Bitcoin lost its $28k level over the news, sinking to to under $27,300 as of press time.
