Baidu Inc is working on artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot service similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
The search engine giant is planning to launch the ChatGPT-clone in March, according to a Reuters report.
Baidu intends to launch the ChatGPT clone as a standalone application and will gradually merge it into its search engine, the report adds.
ChatGPT answers prompt by users in a human-like form and offer information like a search engine. ChatGPT performs professional tasks such as programming and essay writing.
China’s Baidu already has three AI-powered "creators" whose technology let users assume the roles of screenwriter, illustrator, editor, or animator.
