Crypto Fraudster ‘Coin Signals’ Loses Suit Against CFTC, To Pay $2.8 Million

A New York court has ordered Jeremy Spence, a crypto fraudster who goes by "Coin Signals" to pay $2.8 million to reimburse victims of a fraudulent scheme.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission had filed a suit against Spence, who earlier this year pleaded guilty to running a Ponzi scheme.

Spence solicited individuals to invest in digital assets including bitcoin and ether from December 2017 through April 2019.

Jeremy Spence had already been sentenced to 42 months of jail time in May of this year.
