Crypto Exchange Deribit Suffers A $28M Hot Wallet Hack

Cryptocurrency options and futures exchange Deribit has been hacked. The exchange has had $28 million being drained from its hot wallet.

The announced via a tweet that client assets have not been affected. Withdrawals have been temporarily halted though.

"The hack is isolated & quarantined to our BTC, ETH and USDC hot wallets," Deribit wrote on Twitter.

October was the worst ever month for crypto and DeFi hacks, recorderng over $718 million being stolen in the first two weeks alone.
