Apple relaxes mask rules for its corporate workers

A report by the Verge has it that Apple Inc is dropping its mask requirements for corporate employees at most locations.

Apple’s drop of the mask mandate comes even as COVID-19 infections in the United States have been on the rise.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of the Omicron variant accounts for more than 90% of infections.

In an internal email, Apple told employees not to “hesitate to continue wearing a face mask if you feel more comfortable doing so.”
