Less than four days to the much-awaited PDP Presidential primaries in Abuja, Mr. Peter Obi, one of the aspirants has reportedly dumped the party.
Unconfirmed sources on Twitter claimed that Mr. Peter Obi has officially dumped the PDP in a letter written to his PDP Agulu ward II chairman. The source claimed that Obi informed his ward Chairman of his official exit from the PDP
However, Mr. Obi has not commented on the rumour. There have been a series of speculations suggesting that Obi might not win the contest and speculations on his ability to win any major states that can guarantee his chances at the primaries.
People familiar with the matter said Obi pulled out of the party and the primaries fearing he might be humiliated at the primaries, a term which means he might lose the contest by a great margin.
There are speculations that Obi might team up with Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso’s ANPP to form a presidential bid where Obi might become the vice-presidential candidate.
