Microsoft Corp’s Bing has been ordered by Chinese authorities to suspend its auto suggest function in China for 30 days.
Bing is the only major foreign search engine available in China.
Bing did not specify reasons for the suspension.
China, in its regulatory crackdown on tech companies, has said it wants platforms to more actively promote core socialist values.
Microsoft, in October, had said it would shut down its professional social networking platform LinkedIn in China.
Microsoft said China has turned into “a significantly more challenging operating environment.”
