Meituan is the latest target in China’s crackdown on the its internet platform economy.
China’s market regulator revealed on Monday that it has launched an antitrust investigation into the food delivery gian.
The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) said in a statement that its investigaton is focused on Meituan’s purported monopolistic behaviour.
Meituan, on the other hand, said in a statement that it would cooperate with the investigation and that its business was operating normally.
