
Friends and family members of a man identified as Samuel Kalu, a Malaysian based Nigerian man, are currently in the state of mourning after he was brutally killed by unknown gunmen.
According to reports, Kalu who is also known as aki ilu-bitter kola was shot dead by unknown gunmen in a barbing saloon at Umuibe Street, off Item Road, Ndiegoro, Aba, where he went to cut his hair on Sunday 27th of September.
Friends of late Kalu and residents of the community are currently mourning him, as the area is said to have been thrown into panic.
A friend of Kalu took to Facebook to share photos of him as he mourned him.
According to the friend, Kalu is an indigene of Ibinaukwu Igbere, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Kalu was born and he grew up in Ndiegoro area before leaving Nigeria for Malaysia in search of greener pasture.
Kalu stayed with his wife, a daughter and his aged parents after returning from his base Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia before the Covid-19 outbreak and the lockdown.
The deceased stayed with his aged parents in Aba, Abia State before and during the Coronavirua lockdown and had made plans to return to Malaysia before he was murdered on Sunday.
The incident was confirmed by the Spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, who stated that the case is under investigation.
Ogbonna said that the police gathered that Kalu was shot dead in a barbing saloon after he got a call.
