Nigerian striker, Kayode Olanrewaju has joined Turkish Super lig side Sivasspor on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The former Austria Wien forward was loaned to Gazisehir Gaziantep also in Turkey but has now moved to Europa League-bound Sivasspor.
Gaziantep had earlier confirmed that they reached an agreement for a transfer fee with Shakhtar Donetsk, but further discussions have been hampered by the player’s wage demands, Scorenigeria reports.
“Our offer to Larry Kayode and his club continued in the past weeks, but the transfer negotiations were suspended due to the high salary demand of Kayode’s current contract,” the club’s statement read in part.
Kayode Olanrewaju has previously was signed by Manchester City in 2017 but was immediately loaned out to Spanish side Girona. He has now played in Switzerland, Israel, Austria and Turkey.
