The family of former Sokoto State governor, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, is currently mourning as the governor lost one of his daughters identified as Sadiya Magatakarda Wamakko.
It was reported that Sadiya died during childbirth on Thursday 10th September.
According to reports, she died at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, due to some childbirth complications.
The funeral prayer of the 23 years old girl was conducted on Thursday night 10th of September at her father’s residence in Sahabi Dange road, Gawon Nama, Sokoto.
The Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Juma’at Mosque, Sokoto, Liman Malami Shehu Akwara, led the funeral prayers.
The former Sokoto governor is presently the chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Anti Corruption.
