Multichoice South Africa CEO, Mark Rayner resigns

After fourteen years at the helm of Multichoice South Africa, its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mark Rayner, is quitting his post.

A press statement from Multichoice states: “It is with great regret that today we announced the departure of Mark Rayner from MultiChoice, effective 30 November 2020. Having been part of the MultiChoice family for the past 14 years leading in various parts of the group, Mark Rayner has now decided to further his journey outside the group. Over the years, Mark has been a key part of driving growth, championing product innovation and pushing customer focus. “We wish him well in the future. An announcement on Mark’s successor will be made shortly.”

The Multichoice statement did not mention who will be acting in the post while it goes to the process of appointing a new Chief Executive.

Departing Mark Rayner became part of the MultiChoice family in March 2007 as the chief financial officer (CFO) of DStv Mobile, rising to become the company CEO and then moving to Multichoice South Africa as Chief operating officer and in May 2016, appointed as the company CEO.
