BREAKING: Children and parents injured as car mounts pavement near school in Earlsfield

(Mirror) – A car has crashed into children and parents after mounting a pavement near a school in South West London.

Police are at the scene near Beatrix Potter School in Earlsfield, Wandsworth, and say a number of children and two parents were hit.

Police, paramedics and a helicopter ambulance were scrambled to the scene just after 3pm.

The car involved came to a halt after crashing into a tree.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene but police say they have not made any arrests.

Neither the driver not the two children in the car were injured.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
