Glass Lewis backs reelection of Robyn Denholm as Chairwoman of Tesla

(Reuters) – Proxy advisory firm Glass Lewis said late on Tuesday it had recommended Tesla Inc’s (TSLA.O) investors to vote in favor of re-electing Chairwoman Robyn Denholm after having earlier opposed her re-election in June.

Glass Lewis said its recommendation changed due to the satisfactory action taken by Tesla regarding liability insurance for its directors.

Tesla will hold its annual shareholder meeting on Sept. 22.

Who is Robyn Denholm?

Denholm, 55, was the chief financial officer and head of strategy at Telstra Corp., Australia’s former phone monopoly, since only Oct. 1 after 18 months as chief operations officer
Before joining Telstra in January 2017, Denholm was executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operations officer of networking equipment and software company Juniper Networks Inc.

She was formerly on the board of the Swiss robotics, power and automation technology company ABB Ltd.

Denholm has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Sydney and a master’s degree in commerce from the University of New South Wales
She’s a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants ANZ.
