Turkish club abandons match, complain Nigerian team was too strong

A preparatory match between Turkish TFF 3rd Division, Silivrispor and Munichka Sports, a Nigerian mixed side was abandoned because the hosts’ managements felt the visitors were too superior.

The match played at Selimpaşa Mehmet Karasu field saw the Nigerian Mixed team showed superiority from the blast of the until the game was cut short.

At half time, Silivrispor struggled to cope with the tempo of the match as Munichkasport took the lead through Samuel Olajide before King Wireko doubled the lead to end the first half with two goals advantage.

The host returned to the second half looking more organized and managed to restore a goal after which the match was called off by their management.

“The management of Silivrispor said the tempo was too high for their team owing to the fact that it was their second preparatory game, Sani Gideon told PageOne.ng.

“Our players are young guns looking for opportunities, and at every chance they get to express themselves, they grab it. In fact, the fans at the venue commended our boys for the display”, he said.

Munichka Sports is an amateur side set up to bring football talents closer to clubs, scouts, and agents in Turkey.
