(New York Daily) – President Trump’s senior adviser Kellyanne Conway is reportedly ditching the White House at the end of the month to focus on her four children.
The Washington Post first reported Conway, one of Trump’s longest-serving aides who managed his presidential campaign to victory in 2016, dropped the bombshell on the president Sunday night.
In a statement, Conway called her time in the Trump administration “heady” and “humbling,” and said she and her husband George, a vocal critic of the president, were making the decision based on what they think is best for their four children, the Washington Post reported.

“We disagree about plenty, but we are united on what matters most: the kids,” the statement said. “Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year in the middle school and high school that will be conducted remotely from home for a least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times.”
“This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”

The news outlet reported her husband, conservative lawyer George Conway, is also stepping back from his role on the Lincoln Project, an outside group of Republicans working to defeat Trump in November.
The couple are both taking a break from Twitter, The Washington Post reported.
The sudden decision follows a startling tweet from daughter Claudia, who said she was “officially pushing for emancipation.”
The teen, who frequently criticizes both of her parents, made the announcement Saturday night shortly after the Republican National Convention announced its list of speakers at this week’s event ― one that includes her mom.
