
Family members and sympathizers shed tears last night after a 3-year-old girl identified as Seyi Jebose, fell into a well and died in Lagos State.
The incident happened at 1, Gemini Bus Stop, Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State, on Saturday 22nd August.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Alagolo Police Division and the Fire Service joined efforts to recover her corpse in an operation that began at about 7:42p.m. on Saturday.
It was gathered that the little girl fell through the rusty cover of the well while she was playing unnoticed by anyone.
When the girl could not be found, her parents declared her missing and launched a search party in bid to find her.
Seyi’s body was later found in the well after the search party was launched.
Thanks incident was confirmed by the Director-General of LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu.
According to Oke-Osanyintolu, the girl was rushed to Solad Hospital, Maria Street, Baruwa Ipaja, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Oke-Osanyintolu added that the body of the girl has been handed over to her family members and Police officers from Alagolo Police Station, led by one Inspector Abumere.
