A 53-year-old Bronx man was shot dead in front of his building, police said Monday.
The victim was struck in the chest and arm on E. 179th St. near Hughes Ave. in Crotona about 11:45 p.m. Sunday.
Medics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.
The victim had a long arrest record, police said, though it was not clear if that played a role in the shooting.
