Police in Houston are searching for an alleged bank robber who reportedly passed a note to a teller explaining he was robbing the bank after not receiving stimulus money or federal loans that could have saved his business.
On the morning of July 8, a man who had covered his face with a bandana and was wearing a hoodie over his head entered the Woodforest National Bank shortly after it had opened and passed a note after asking to make a withdrawal.
“I didn’t get a stimulus or that 10k loan. I lost my business to Covid so please make this easy and comply,” the note reads.
“I don’t wanna hurt nobody but will if I have to,” the note continues. “Any suspicious moves and I will start shooting so please go get my money. Don’t make anything noticeable.
The teller told police the man made a verbal demand as well.
The suspect was captured on surveillance footage wearing a black True Religion brand letterman-style jacket.
The suspect did not threaten the teller with a weapon, police said. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he quickly left the bank
