BREAKING: Kwara state Chief of staff, Aminu Logun is dead

Mr Aminu Logun, the Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is dead.

Logun’s death was announced on Tuesday via Twitter by the governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Olayinka Fafoluyi.

“Kwara State Chief Of Staff, Aminu Adisa Logun, is dead. Indeed, death is the next thing after birth. Black Tuesday here in Kwara,” Fafoluyi wrote.

It was gathered that Logun died at a medical facility in Ilorin, the state capital from complications he suffered after contracting Coronavirus.

The late CoS was said to have suffered from a brief sickness before his demise.

Logun was appointed CoS by the governor in 2019.

The governor in a statement he posted on Twitter said:

“With total submission to the will of Allah, I announce the passing of my Chief of Staff, Aminu Logun (mni). We lost him this evening to complications from COVID-19.”

“Logun was an industrialist, a public intellectual, and an elder statesman who diligently served the state.”

“I commiserate with his family and the entire Ilorin Emirate. I pray the Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus & give the family the fortitude to bear the huge loss,” he said.
