A video has emerged showing Peoples Democratic Party members being hosted to a dinner in Dubai by Ray Hushpuppi.

Hushpuppi is Nigeria’s Instagram celebrity who was extradited to the U.S to face cybercrime and money laundering charges in Los Angeles.

In the video which since gone viral on Twitter, Hushpuppi was seeing feasting with prominent PDP leaders including the former speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, ex-Senator Dino Melaye and Deji Adeyanju.

However, after his arrest in Dubai and subsequent extradition to Dubai, all the PDP leaders who feasted with him have disowned him claiming they have no relationship with him.

Yesterday, Honourable Yakubu Dogara gave out a strongly-worded message challenging the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC to provide evidence that his has any links with Hushpuppi.

In a statement by his media aide, Dogara challenged the APC to provide evidence that he has any special or criminal relationship with Hushpuppi.

“This smellfungus called Nabena should have known that it is share mindlessness to attempt to execute mischief and blackmail in plain sight before the public some of whom are better informed. Who is that fool that links people to criminal activity simply because they appeared in a group picture at a public event comprising of people from different walks of life?

“If appearing in a group photograph is what Nabena is now using to establish a link or connection to crimes or alleged criminals, then, why didn’t he issue such a statement in the wake of the arrest of a suspected money launderer by name Ismaila Mustapha, aka Mompha, whose pictures with notable personalities including some APC governors are all over the social media? Is Nabena guilty of selective amnesia or share perfidy? Who is Nabena scared of? Who is he trying to fool?”

He added, “For the records, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara has agreed to waive his right to a trial and go to jail if Nabena establishes any form of links or connection between him and the alleged cyber criminal before the event where the picture was taken and after the event until now. For Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, that picture was just another picture among the thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of such pictures with Nigerians from all walks of life.

“If the said Nabena is worth his salt, next time he speaks, he should speak to issues affecting the welfare of our union, which are well known to all discerning Nigerians. Nabena should or ought to know that there is no honour in speaking about group pictures taken at public events when the nation is bleeding and most Nigerian families are struggling and hurting.” he said.

Apart from the names mentioned above, Hushpuppi has also been pictured with PDP’s 2019 presidential candidate Mr. Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

They have all disowned him claiming they only had a photoop with him while they’re were in Dubai.

However, in 2019, Hushpuppi was reported to have deliberately campaigned for Atiku Abubakar.

In one of his most extensive show of public support, Huspuppi wrote on his Instagram page, that:

“I am writing this from the point of view of a kid that was raised with little or no resources from Nigeria but has “desire” for greatness. For me I believe the starting point of all achievement is desire which except you are blind and dumb then you won’t be able to tell how weak the desire of our present rulers are when it comes to our lives, our safety, our wellness, our struggles as a hardworking people who have been categorized as lazy Nigerians. I have learnt through the years that weak desires only bring weak result just as small amount of fire makes small amount of heat. We all have one way or the other experienced the amount of heat, suffering this government has brought upon the nation. As someone in his 30s, who was told as a child is the “leader of tomorrow” now i am experiencing today not as a leader and tomorrow which they referred to will probably when I’m 50 right?

How Hushpuppi campaigned for PDP’s 2019 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar

“That’s 4 more terms of government before I am 50, with every president wanting two terms, what is the possibility that any of us will be the leader of tomorrow when in reality the same people have been ruling us from childhood? very slim or no chance right? If we are then going to be realistic with each other, we then deserve to at least pick one of the old ones who won’t make life unbearable for us, Buhari has failed us in every sector of governance, we don’t deserve to give suffer a second chance in our lives, I have never experienced so much suicide by Nigerians since my birth until Buhari took power, who is next that will be pushed to kill themself due to so much suffering?”

“It could a person close to home next. If I have to pick among the two old people who are our prime options (Buhari and Atiku) pls pick ATIKU, don’t say he chop our money before at least we or our parents didn’t commit suicide or turn internet beggars, we didn’t have to steal pants and endanger the lives of our women to survive, our economy was not in a stand still, our graduates didn’t have to go and explain what 5k can do in their life under giveaway posts on the internet. Please do what is right young and old people out there. Nigeria doesn’t need prayer, it needs right decisions. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain,” he said

There is no proof that he contributed financially or otherwise to the campaign of Atiku Abubakar. However, it would be recalled that Atiku spent nearly a month in Dubai alongside his campaign for strategy sessions before he went to the United States for the first time in over a decade.
