Social distancing rule violated at burial ceremony of Ondo State commissioner who died from Covid-19

The burial ceremony of Ondo state’s commissioner for health, late Wahab Adegbenro, took place on Friday 3rd July in Akure, and one of the notable highlights of the event was the violation of the social distancing rule.

Adegbenro died from COVID-19 complications at the Ondo State Infectious Disease Hospital in Akure, the state’e capital on Thursday 2nd July.

It was reported by Premium Times that Adegbenro died two days after handing over a report which confirmed that the Ondo State Governor tested positive for Covid-19 to the Governor.

It was clearing seen in photographs taken at Adegbenro’s burial that the social distancing rule was violated.

These rules were put in place by authorities, in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
