Opay, a subsidiary of Opera Software has allegedly shut down its transportation business in Nigeria.
Reasons for winding down the business operations it yet unknown but our sources confirmed that the management of Opay has communicated the recent development to the staff.
Opay diversified into delivery business (OExpress) earlier this year following restrictions to operate motorcycle taxi within specific roads as directed by Lagos State Government.
The company’s ride-hailing operations which involves tricycle (OTrike) and car (OCar) were also halted.
