A married woman with two kids, Uchechi Ogoke, has been stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers.
The incident took place on Tuesday 30th June, in Ihitte Local Government Area in Imo State.
The two children of the woman who was stabbed to death were also injured by the suspected robbers.
According to an eyewitness, the husband of the woman is based in Malaysia.
Narrating the incident, the eyewitness said that early Tuesday morning, neighbors woke up to see the woman in a pool of her own blood while her two children and their house help were injured.
The eyewitness said that the suspected robbers left with her ATM card.
The police were summoned and her corpse has been taken to a mortuary.
According to the spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the incident, investigation into the case has commenced.
”The persons broke into her house through the window with a gun and a matchete. They beat her and stabbed her all over her body until she gave up the ghost. They stole her jewelries and the sum of N28, 000” Ikeokwu said.
