Bobrisky is the lead cast in Netflix’s documentary, a film on the ‘Skin’ bleaching menace


Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky is the leading cast in the new Netflix documentary called ‘Skin’, a film that examined the menace and root causes of skin bleaching Nigeria.

The Skin is a Beverly Naya film, is a detailed exploration of skin bleaching. In the film which has finally launched on Netflix, Beverly Naya interview several people as she travels through Nigeria. The interviews were raw, candid, and open as well. The topic of skin bleaching becomes a prevalent thread in the story. In the documentary, one major take out is that almost all of the women discuss skin bleaching as something that is done for the affection of men.

One of the major reason Bobrisky gave in the video for bleaching is that “You do not love yourself enough or appreciate the way God created you’

Although it is not clear if he had sex-change surgery, he has changed from her black complexion to a far lighter complexion that makes her appear more feminine.

Apart from sticking to her feminine appearance, Bobrisky has not spared her critics, especially those who accuse of merely disguising as a female/lady.

In a trending video that was used for comedy skits, Bobrisky insulted people who refer to him as ‘bro’ (brother), saying ‘your bro is in Yaba left’ (a federal mental illness hospital in Lagos.)

Early this month, he was seen using the identity of a man (his true identity).

In the viral video which was supposedly his father’s birthday celebration, he was conspicuously dressed as a male taking pictures and exchanging pleasantries with guests.

For more than 10 years, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has maintained a female identity claiming to be a woman.
