
English Premier League clubs paid around £256 million to agents and intermediaries in the 2019/2020 League seasons, according to reports.
A recently published article by an accounting firm, Price of Football revealed that Liverpool led the clubs paying over £30m to its intermediaries and agents while Manchester City was next with around £27m as Chelsea paid out about £26 million.
Championship clubs spent £49 million on agent fees with Stoke and Swansea the biggest payers.
Agent fees were just under £4m in League One with a third of the total paid by Stuart Donald’s Sunderland and none by Bolton.
