If the latest disclosure by Omoshola Special Package is anything to go by, then, it could be safe true to say Nigeria is not just the entertainment capital of Africa, but perhaps the largest love charm market.

After she went viral for the notorious reasons of selling love charms that manipulates men to unduly give money to women after unwilful sexual intercourse and intimate relationships, Omoshola Special Package announced that she now has over 30,0000 new customers who are asking to buy her products. She later went ahead to run a supposed ‘20% price slash’ 24 hours promotion.

At the end of the sales promotion event, Omoshola Special package is now claiming she made a total of N20,000,000 in sales worldwide which is approximately over $50,000 based on the official forex rate.

While insulting and mocking her critics, she said:

To make her claims more believable, she shared several bank wire transfers from her customers and alleged distributors who she claimed are now present across Nigeria, London, Kenya and even Canada.

The National Food and Drugs Administration & Control, NAFDAC, has not commented on this matter. While the agency does not ban traditional therapy and medicine, such products are required to be registered by the agency.

Omoshola special package whose real name is Deborah Erioluwapo Ajayi, with the Instagram username @omosholas_place, sells love charms online via her Instagram page.

She claimed that the box called a Special Package consists of products specially made based on a client’s request. With very explicit names, her products are categorized as aphrodisiacs, love charms and spiritual products.

In her claims, she bragged that her products which her fortified with ‘white rituals’ and prayers are potent enough to help her client get any man they wish to have so far as they can afford it. With N350,000 budget, she claimed that her products can help any lady get any man of their dreams to shower them with money, gifts and favour.

Some of her products are tagged adult and explicit names such as pussy fire, curse breaker, vagina upgrade” and by popular demand ‘special package’,  a charm that helps her target specific men for her clients. According to her, the special package cannot be used for two different men.

However, the controversy generated by her business has led to many insinuations that she could be taking advantage of many of her customers online to sell things that are not only strangely too expensive but ordinary scam.

For instance, a Twitter user claimed that Omoshola who is evidently pregnant was abandoned by her boyfriend, who is allegedly into Internet fraud. This begs the question if Omoshola and her special package charms are not ordinary scams that target many vulnerable and desperate ladies and victims online. Her critics asked that if her charms could not prevent her boyfriend from abandoning her, who can it work for?

Omoshola has not also replied to her critics directly and those who claimed she is a fraud.

Up till now and for the nearest future, no one except her supposed customers would know if her products are actually working. With the benefit of hindsight, It is not uncommon for scammers to cook up figures, testimonies and other bogus claims to fleece people or even deceive the general public.

It should be noted that she is not the only popular online love charm seller. Jaaruma Empire (Jaruma) and one Ijeoma Nwosu are also very popular on social media. Under the appellation of sex therapists, their products are not conventional or over the counter products for women’s sexual wellness and health. In one of her videos that went viral, she said

‘What comes in a Special Package?’

‘We don’t know, it can be in the form a wand, syrup or anything at all’

However, if there is any ounce of truth in her claims, it, therefore, means an underground market for love charms has unravelled and authorities should be concerned, if not for anything, but at least for the health and safety of the general public, particular supposed customers of these unorthodox products and markets.
