Coronavirus: UEFA postpones Champions League matches

UEFA has announced the cancellation of Champions League Round of 16 matches involving Manchester City vs Real Madrid and Juventus vs Lyon due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Both matches were due to take place on Tuesday March 17 but have now been placed on hold with new dates to be communicated.

UEFA had also called for a crisis meeting with its representatives from all 55 national associations, clubs and player bodies to decide how national leagues, European competitions and Euro 2020 should proceed.

Meanwhile, Juventus defender Daniele Rugani was confirmed to have tested to coronavirus which make him as the first Italian senior national team player to be confirmed.
