The event which was Held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki on the 28th September 2019, has been acclaimed as one of the most prestigious platforms recognising excellence and innovation in the Nigerian telecoms and technology industry.
TECNO Camon 11 Pro, a series made by Africa’s largest smartphone by market share was awarded the Smartphone Brand of the Year. TECNO has been consistent and innovative by understanding the peculiarities of the Nigerian market and smartphone users.
Also with its Shanghai STAR Market, a technology-focused stock market such as the NASDAQ, Transsion, the group is now valued at about $6 billion making it one of the biggest companies in Africa joining the elite group Africa’s mega-companies such as MTN Group, Shoprite Holdings, Dangote Group, Naspers and Standard Bank Group.
OPay, the fastest growing payment platform with millions of users in the first three months of launch was also awarded the Best Payment Platform of the Year.
ORide, a bike-hailing service offered and paid for within the OPay app also won the award for the Best Ride-hailing Platform of the Year.
