Ryanair to cut routes across UK in the event of hard Brexit

Europe’s largest airline, Ryanair said it could slice its UK domestic routes in event of a no-deal Brexit.

Ryanair’s chief executive officer, Michael O’Leary, said in an analysts’ question and answer session that the airline will look to cut routes across routes from London to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast.

According to a statement tracked Reuters, “An obvious one (to cut) if there is a hard Brexit at the end of October, we have three UK domestic routes… They would readily fall out straight away,” he said.

“There is a longer-term question mark over those in a hard Brexit,” O’Leary said. “Frankly … we are not growing in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Belfast,” he said.
