Apple’s screen supplier, Japan Display Inc., has finally gotten a badly needed lifeline from a group of Chinese investors.

The lifeline is coming from Chinese investment firm Harvest Group.

Japan Display said in a statement that it now has in its kitty, a total of up to $738 million to fund its operations as a going concern.

The future of the Japanese TV and smartphone screen maker became uncertain after Apple’s sales took a dive in China as well as the company’s shift away from liquid-crystal displays (LCDs).
