Social media giant, Facebook Inc., has released job listings that it is looking to hire several Blockchain engineers and professionals for its the Libra project’s wallet, Calibra.

The job opening which plans to hire up to 30 engineers and data scientists with Blockchain background will focus on its Calibra Wallet.

Facebook said in the listing description that:

“The wallet will be the delivery vehicle for many financial services starting with personal payments, but expanding to online and offline commerce and eventually lending and personal financial management.”

That was exactly what Facebook said when it announced that it plans to unveil the global payments digital token by 2020 with the backing of an elite group tech and payment giants, Libra Association.

However, Facebook did not announce whether it will enable other wallet providers to store Libra when it is launched.

Yesterday, we reported that ShapeShift’s founder, has intimated his plan to support Libra on its exchange. He is more or less the first major exchange owner to make such commitment.
