Malaysian authorities have announced that efforts are underway to recover a minimum of $5 billion in 1MDB assets.
A separate task force will be set up to recover the assets, Azam Baki, a deputy commissioner at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission told Reuters News.
1MDB, Malaysia’s state investment vehicle has been enmeshed in money laundering investigations.
