Huawei could lose 60% of smartphone sales on US ban


A Bloomberg report that quoted people with the knowledge of the matter said Huawei Technologies Co Ltd could lose a chunk of its smartphone sales this year.

The Bloomberg report claimed that Huawei could lose up to 40-60 million sales in its device sales as result of the ban.

The report claimed that the drop in sales could impact the Huawei the Honor 20 which will begin sales by the 21 of June across Europe including France and the UK

China’s Huawei, the world’s largest telecoms company has been placed on a trade blacklist by the United States after the latter cited national security concerns due to Huawei’s closeness to the Chinese government and intelligence community.

Huawei has denied the allegations of the US claiming it does not have back doors in its equipment.
