In the drive towards its London Stock Exchange initial public offering, Airtel Africa has updated the market on its opening price.
Airtel Africa is the African unit of India’s Bharti Airtel.
In May, Airtel Africa announced that it will look to raise up to $1 billion in the IPO.
Operating across Nigeria, francophone and other Anglophone markets, the listing will give the African mobile carrier exposure to global capital.
The company disclosed that its biggest reason for the London listing is to reduce its leverage and improve its balance sheet.
