America’s Facebook Inc. could be banning its app on Huawei smartphones if its latest action is anything to go by.
The social networking giant has now stopped pre-installation of its apps on Huawei devices.
It is the second biggest blow to the smartphone unit of China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. after Google announced that it will stop giving Huawei’s devices updates for its Android operating system, OS.
The rachet up in sanctions and boycott is coming against Huawei after the US placed the Chinese telecoms giant on its ‘Entity List’ alongside 68 other affiliates.
