Pompeo fires more shots at China on Huawei ban

America’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo has again increased pressure on China restating his rhetoric that Huawei and the Chinese government are tightly connected.

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. was hammered by a US ban which restricts the Chinese telecoms giant from doing business with any American company over allegations of the US that the company is an appendage of the Chinese government and the intelligence system

Pompeo in his usual explicit mood told Fox Business Network that Huawei said:

“Huawei is an instrument of the Chinese government,”

“They’re deeply connected. It’s something that’s hard for Americans to understand,” he said.

Earlier this week, Pompeo fired his first salvo at Huawei that Ren Zhengfei, founder and chief executive of Huawei was lying about its detachments from the Chinese government.

To defend itself, Huawei has just filed a lawsuit at a Texas Court to challenge the NDAA law that bans Huawei from selling its telecoms equipment to American companies.
