Trump says America to add ‘dangerous’ Huawei to China trade talks

There indications Huawei ban could be tied to the US-China trade negotiations as President Donald Trump hinted on the way forward.

The US had placed a ban on Huawei, China’s largest technology company and the world’s largest telecoms company setting off series of bans and tie cuts with the company by many American and allied tech giants.

Calling Huawei a ‘dangerous’ company, Trump said the trade row with China could be resolved quickly but there are no signs a deal could be reached anytime soon.

“You look at what they’ve done from a security standpoint, from a military standpoint, it’s very dangerous,” Trump said in remarks at the White House. “If we made a deal, I could imagine Huawei being possibly included in some form or some part of it.”

Earlier today, Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, said many American companies could ban Huawei while claiming that Huawei’s founder, Ren Zhengfei, lied that his company has no ties with the Chinese Communist Party, CCP.
