Exxon records $2.4 billion in Q1 as downstream unit slows


Exxon Mobil Corporation said it recorded $2.4 billion total revenue in first quarter 2019.

The oil giant said its upstream liquids production grew by 5 percent versus first quarter 2018, driven by the Permian

It plans to strengthen its portfolio with new offshore discoveries in Guyana and Cyprus as well.

Exxon however, noted that its downstream and chemical results reflect challenging industry margin environments.
