Airtame, a Danish startup that produces a wireless HDMI solution for both business and education sectors, announced that they hit a big milestone: 100,000 devices shipped.
Airtame recently released Homescreen Apps, simple app integrations for smarter team collaboration and everyday inspiration. This product update signals a step into the world of digital signage, which will help schools and businesses put an end to blank screens.
“It’s a proud moment for us,” says Simon Hansen, Product Manager at Airtame. “It means that we’re making a product that brings value and joy to our users. We’ve got a bunch of new improvements in store that will make the user experience even better, and this milestone is a testament to the fact that we’re on the right track.”
Not long ago, Airtame was awarded a €1.15 million EU grant through Horizon 2020, funds that will go towards developing more elements for Airtame Cloud, a cloud-based platform for monitoring and managing devices and updating content real-time.
Airtame is a wireless screen mirroring solution that allows you to instantly display content from any laptop or mobile device, to any display. Its multifunctional use case means that it can also be used as a digital signage solution.
Airtame started out as a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign in 2014 during which they raised a total of $1.3M. Since then, Airtame has grown into a company with over 90 people from across the world and have shipped over 100,000 devices.
Airtame’s mission is to help create flow and work smarter.
The company is based in Copenhagen with other offices in New York and San Francisco.
