Senator Bukola Saraki, Nigeria’s number three man said he has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Party, APC.

Saraki said via his official Twitter account that:

“I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

He has not confirmed if he is joining the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Nigeria’s largest opposition party which has received many members of the APC from the National Assembly last week.

Analysts said Saraki will be joining the PDP alongside his federal supporters who will be supporting him to vie for the position of the president against Buhari on the platform of the PDP.
