Japan-based Nigerian developer, Simple Azenabor, to launch SoftTalk Messenger

A Nigerian citizen based in Japan, Simple Azenabor, said he will be launching SoftTalk Messenger, a messaging app that will compete with the likes of WhatsApp.

According to a report from Pulse.ng, SoftTalk Messenger will enable users to chat, make audio and video calls, unrestricted numbers of group chats as well shop for affordable and genuine products is to be introduced in Nigeria and is set to change the way messaging is currently done.

Simple Azenabor was quoted saying:

“We do so much than messaging, we want to empower and improve on the way messaging is done today, by giving access to users to shop, while Soft chatting and Soft talking at the same time. “We work with reputable brands and companies in Japan to sell the SoftTalk vision.”

As to whether the app will be able to withstand the strong competition posed by WhatsApp is another matter entirely.

The app is slated for a public launch in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital in the next fortnight
