Paul de Leusse named Orange Group Deputy CEO for mobile financial services

Paul de Leusse has been appointed Deputy CEO for mobile financial services on the Orange Executive Committee. With his extensive experience in the banking and financial sector, he will be responsible for mobile financial services, one of the major areas of diversification selected for the Essentials 2020 strategic plan. He will take up his position on 15 May 2018.

Paul de Leusse is joining Stéphane Richard’s team as part of a more diverse and international Orange General Management Committee. His main role will be developing the activities of Orange Bank and Orange Money. Orange Bank has offered a groundbreaking banking model since November 2017, natively designed around customers’ mobile use. Four months after its launch, the bank already had over 100,000 customers. Orange Money currently has 36 million customers in 17 African countries.

Paul de Leusse started his career as a Consultant and later Partner at Oliver Wyman and then Bain & Company from 1997 to 2009. In 2009, he was appointed Head of Group Strategy at Crédit Agricole SA. In 2011 he joined Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as its Chief Financial Officer and later as a Deputy Chief Executive Office. In 2016, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CA Indosuez Wealth.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Union des Banques Arabes et Françaises from 2011 to 2018 and of the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation from 2016 to 2018.

Paul de Leusse is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and holds a civil engineering degree from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
