Nigerian parliament queries sale of 9mobile to Teleology

There are more issues cropping up as regards the sale of 9mobile to Teleology Holdings.

9mobile is Nigeria’s fourth largest mobile carrier with about 15 million subscribers.

The lower chamber of Nigeria’s parliament has now started its inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the disputed sale of the mobile carrier to Teleology Holdings.

An Abuja High Court had stopped the sale of 9mobile after one of the company’s former shareholders filed an exparte motion which the court granted.

It could be recalled that Barclays Africa, the financial advisor to 9mobile on the acquisition transaction had announced that it has awarded the sale to Teleology Holdings after it came up tops as the preferred bidder amongst other rivals.
