Jonathan Kestenbaum retires from Pershing Square

Pershing Square said Jonathan Kestenbaum has informed the Board of his decision to retire as a non‐executive director of the Company due to the increased demands of his executive commitments.

The company said in the statement that Jonathan Kestenbaum has been a non‐executive director since 2014. His retirement from the Board will take effect as of 12 February 2018.

An announcement on the appointment of a new non‐executive director will be made in due course.

Lord Jonathan Kestenbaum is the Chief Operating Officer at RIT Capital Partners plc. Lord Kestenbaum is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of J. Rothschild Capital Management Limited.

Previously, until 2011, he was the Chief Executive at Five Arrows Limited. Previously, Lord Kestenbaum was the Chief Executive at the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Apax Partners. Lord Kestenbaum is a Non-Executive Director of WHAM. He is a Director of Pershing Square Holdings, Ltd. since July 29, 2014.

Lord Kestenbaum is a Director of Profero, The Capital Holdings Funds plc and Windmill Hill Asset Management. He is on the Governing Body of the Technology Strategy Board. Lord Kestenbaum is the Chancellor of Plymouth University since December 2013. He was created a Life Peer in November 2010 and in January 2011, was appointed to the House of Lords and became Lord Kestenbaum of Foxcote. Lord Kestenbaum speaks in the Lords on Economic Affairs and Innovation. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Imperial College Business School.

Lord Kestenbaum is a graduate of the Strategic Agility Programme at The Harvard Business School and has completed the Cabinet Office Top Management Programme. He holds an M.B.A. with distinction from the Cass Business School, did post graduate work at Cambridge University and graduated from the London School of Economics
